Hooker falls for his future bride Susannah. ![]() ![]() ![]() Whilst Hooker preaches at Chelmsford he meets Stone for the first time and is also summoned to the courts for his outspoken views. ![]() ![]() ![]() Hooker is forced to flee and Stone is now summoned, his friend Thomas Shepard is able to give him a new position. ![]() ![]() ![]() At a secret meeting a traitor is discovered and Hooker flees the country. When he returns they prepare to sail to America. ![]() ![]() ![]() A large group of Puritans board the ship where arguments develop, the group part when they have landed at Boston. ![]() ![]() ![]() Stone threatens the native Indians for some of their land, which the group then moves to, the settlement is named Hartford. Shepard asks permission to marry Hooker's daughter. ![]() ![]() ![]() Hooker argues with Stone about his aggressive stand against the Indians, who are blamed for the theft of supplies. Hooker discovers the real thief too late. ![]() ![]() ![]() Hooker dies and Stone confronts fellow Puritan William Goodwin over politics and Goodwin's courtship of Hooker's widow. Goodwin splits from the group and Stone dies in peace. |
